Since 2004 I was able to learn a long tradional technique in Woodcarving Saints and related icons. This technique was handed down by Dominican Monks who traved the West Indies over 500 years ago. Meeting my teacher open a new span in art that merged with my traditional appatite to learn to create anything made of wood or natural materials. Hector Burgos, of Aibonito Puerto Rico, would not hesitate to teach me everything he knew, but all it would take is a little over two hours to realize my new passion.
The photo of the Iron cross was made by recovered World Trade Center Steel that I was able to get a good cut to created this cross. It reflects my participation and life long remeberence of the tradigdy of 9-11.
Pope john Paul II - is a 6" carving that created as I witnessed the proceedings after the Pope died. This carving is displayed at the Young Adult Ministry Retreat Center in Kearny N.J.
The photo of a working fire in Jersey City would have a direction all of its own and deserves a re-direction for those who really seek direction. You then must go there by clicking the picture of jcresident in the About Us Page.
A Display of these images can be seen in the Art exhibits slated for October 3rd and 4th 2009, Jersey City Artists Studio Tour.

This phase also establishes a Recreational venue that allows 7th through 12th grade community students, and who live in the Jersey City Heights Area, to participate. In its Scheduled time, this program would work to gain a viable recreation and arts program to be used by existing public community programs and Church Programs.
