Open Basketball

Sat/Sun 2-4pm

 Open Court is provided for community teens who live within the Community. Permission is required and subject to schedule changes. Basketball Shoot Contest, Ping Pong Contest will be available in September 2009. Students who are enrolled in Jersey City Schools from grades 7th through 12th.  A short application must be filled out by the students Parents or Guardians. Teams will be formed in 2010.

 WWJD Is a Simulated Radio Broadcast that is used as a Teen Ice Breaking period.  This MC type event helps in introducing future programs, events and announcements within the facilities.  Basic techniques in DJ spinning and participation will also introduce the inspiring and positive music to the Teens.

This inative will seek to gain volunteers to create our program, as well as, gain the momentum and energy of the Service generated by Unity We Serve, City and County service volunteers programs.  Data Base information would be established to bring together the youth of Heights Community, providing Service to our Senior Citizens, and programs generated by the Division of Cultural Affairs and Recreation.

Art Classes/Music Classes will be offered free on weekends. WE ARE ASKING ALL TEENS WHO ARE INTERESTED IN SIGNING UP FOR FREE MUSIC CLASS OFFERED ON SATURDAYS FROM 9AM THROUGH-OUT THE DAY - ART CLASS WILL START AT 2:15PM
